    Noah's Ark......Dinosaurs?

For those of you who are friends with me on FB, know that I went to the ark in Kentucky. What an awesome experience to see it....and just to imagine, God said build it, and Noah did. And then to see the actual size....it just a bit overwhelming in person then seeing the video. I was amazed at the ark. The inside was very pretty but I am not sure I agree with their viewpoint.

According to the "ark people", they are saying that dinosaurs roamed the earth during the time of Noah. And that in order to "save" them like the other 6000 animals on the earth, that only juveniles were on board, versus adult size dinosaurs.

They also promote a 6000 year earth (I have heard that before) but the dinosaurs is something new.

So my friend and I talked over the weekend and we shared our thoughts back and forth, and had a great time. Well, she is my BFF of over 25+ years. So we had a great time. But here are our thoughts. Oh, I am including her husbands thoughts as well.

It could be possible that the "million year old bones" of dinosaurs and their scientific calculations are not correct. And we indeed have a 6000 year old earth.

Dinosaurs could have roamed the earth much earlier then the time of Adam/Eve but then God would have created them. And I am not sure I see a specific verse concerning dinosaurs, Except maybe the reference found in Job 40. 15-24 - where is talks of a dragon (well it could be something like that, or a dinosaur?)

God's "time" and our "time" often are way different. So was creation, "our 7 days"? Of maybe 7000+ years? 2 Peter 3.8a 'But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

If this has been discussed before, I apologize. I thought it was interesting, and for me personally, I struggle with the whole dinosaurs, and Adam/Eve/Noah. Am I the only one? What are your thoughts about this? Have you done a study? If so, would you direct me, please.

    Blessings to all.

Dinos were "unclean" therefore only one pair were brought aboard.

“Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven pairs of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth”
A single pair would really have a tough time keeping things going, throw in the effects of inbreeding and I have no problem believing that dinos simply devolved or were unable to get a strong enough foothold to perpetuate their species. I also think that any offspring of inbreeding usually have fertility/reproductive issues.

Now, the clean animals having 7 pairs had a pretty healthy gene pool and sufficient mating partners to reproduce in a healthy fashion.

It's simple science but who wants a simple explanation?

When we consider that some scientist start with a foundational view there is no God and their agenda blinds them it is very likely their 'standards' for calculating are flawed...when we reject God we reject His revelatory truth and if they are adamant they would reject anything that led them toward Him....
