In Philippians 4 Paul mentions, 'whose god is their belly..'

He was speaking of enemies of the cross..

Started reading this and found that the author defines gluttony as the 'pleasure of the palate'.

We often speak of gluttony as a sin....where is that in scripture?

It is, then the wording depends on the translation.

But it is not specific to over eating is it? It is translated from appetite...
