Setting aside safe places on campus for Christians. Ha.
Somehow I doubt that would be the response if those places actually started popping up....no doubt some would such as this poster but I really doubt that would be the media take or the general consensus..

I'm not saying anyone should be prohibited (or punished) for speaking about those issues. I'm just saying that from my personal experience, where I have to work closely with people, I feel that it's better to not bring up these subjects.

Topic reminds me of Lot....he lived in a cultural environment that vexed his soul continually...no doubt the person in the OP understood that others' POV was open and free to display...theirs was not....

I believe this is far more than cultural though...I believe there is a demonic push to 'be silent'..'not rock the boat'..'keep your faith to yourself'...and it is terroristic and threatening in nature...we as Christians MUST recognize it and pray for wisdom ..

I will never forget reading a book years ago about church history and the author literally stated the martyrs deaths was their own fault...

This issue goes far beyond cultural conformity and as Christians we are now aware that the push to silence is NOT from the Holy Spirit...

Now don't get me wrong, I am not advocating the other extreme either...but I am saying we each must be sure of the Spirit's leading and speak when where and how He leads while making sure the spirit telling us to 'be quiet' is Him and not the enemy..
