While I enjoyed reading the whole thing THIS says a mouthful right there. I haven't listened to a whole lot of Osteen's preaching but from the little I have heard from him and others one might be led to believe that he is one of the nicest guys as far as preachers are concerned. Heck, even liked by Oprah and Nancy Pelosi. You would think that this would endear him to the world and they would say, "That's MY kind of preacher."
The probelm is, whether I might be 100% with him or not on what he chooses to preach, what he chooses NOT to condemn, who he believes is a Christian despite their lifestyle, etc., the man still preaches about Jesus Christ being the only way and you will simply be hated for that alone. The world wants full cooperation with their devil-ordained agenda, not just some "compromise" (if that is how one views Osteen's failure to address certain issues).
If you are going to be hated by the world no matter what you say and do then you may as well do what is pleasing to God. We are to love the world even if they hate us but our love does not have to be expressed by giving in to their every ridiculous demand that they place on God's church. Jesus came to save the world from itself, not to give in to what the world thinks how He and His people should act.

Exactly. If he had opened the church while it was still flooded, and someone got injured, they'd criticize him for that. Can't win with thes clowns.

Tyler Perry Defends Joel Osteen After Backlash...Donates $1Mil to Lakewood and others helping Harvey Victims
Now that Osteen has finally opened his Lakewood church's doors to the people of Houston, *Perry is speaking out in his defense. Tyler's just revealed that he spoke to Osteen about his delayed offer to help the Houston community that has made him a multi-millionaire pastor. After getting an explanation from Osteen, Perry said he realized that Osteen's intentions weren't bad after all, but were instead due to "safety issues" that Osteen, his wife, *and team were trying to insure were in place first.

"Donates $1Mil to Lakewood and others helping Harvey Victims"
Call me media synical but is that headline misleading...? He donated 750 K to others and 250K to Lakewood yet it says 'others helping' as a side note?
just sayin...

I wonder how many of those fine people donated their time and money to help hurricane victims. While some might have, I think others that have done nothing should keep their mouths shut.
