There is nothing sympathetic to IS in the article. The main difference is that with IS the consensus among Westerners is unanimous so there isn't much to discuss.

I think it has to do with the level of disagreement about him in the general populations. If everyone had agreed that he is a crook etc etc etc then the rage would have stilled itself and taken on the character of a more simple resolve, like it has towards Islamic terrorists and especially IS.
