Dream of the Crown of Thorns

Speaking last night to a christian friend who struggles with guilt and condemnation at times for not being a better christian. I have encouraged him to look more at the positives of what God has done in his life and not allow the negatives to bring him down.

He then shared a dream he had this last week.

He found himself in this beautiful room full of bright light. He noticed some sort of white cabinet with a white sheet and he walked up to it.
For some reason he held out his right hand and in his hand he saw large thorns covered in a brown dried substance.

He then realised he was holding some of the thorns that Jesus wore from the crown and the brown dried substance was the blood of Christ that came from Jesus' head.

He said he doesn't cry but he fell to his knees and wept and wept and wept.

What a powerful revelation of Jesus manifesting his love towards him and how Jesus saw him compared to how he saw himself.
His wife and my wife were both there and we were able to encourage him even more due to this dream

A truly amazing experience to see some of the sacrifice Jesus has done for all of us

God sometimes has a lot of grace and will give struggling Christians powerful revelations so that they will have a chance of making a change. It concerns me that more mature Christians with less problems will receive powerful revelations, pat themselves on the back and then make little effort to employ that as a catalyst for change in their lives. As if the revelation was meant as a sign of God's approval or even just as an entertaining experience.
