Teaching acceptance of sin to the public is a grievous thing. Different to being of the opinion without promoting it towards others. Whether it's a large or small step in the direction of cardboardizing one's own faith is his personal opinion. God judges the heart anyway.

What do you mean by 'God judges the heart anyway'?
Jesus said - out of the heart comes all these things - if a preacher starts proclaiming serious falsehoods is that not coming from his heart
Any comments from anyone on the below:
A saved minister starts accepting, embracing and publically advocating same sex marriage in his church and starts performing ceremonies
Christians who were struggling with same sex weakness but due to their pastors stance now embrace their 'sexuality' and live together as married couples in this church.
What happens spiritually to this minister and these christians if they died 5 years later?
Are they still saved because they haven't left the faith or renounced Jesus - all they have done is just embrace homosexuality but in every other areas still live as believers

Of course it is. But judging the severity of the act is only possible to God who sees the depth of the heart, all its thoughts, inclinations, motivations.

Hmmm...I would say hyper grace IS not the cause of apostasy but rather, an aspect OF the apostasy...

I agree. But the sad thing is that like so many heresies, it's the result of a magnification of one gospel truth to the exclusion of some others. Grace IS "hyper" in a very real sense, but it should always lead to a changed life, not as an enabler to greater sin.

True liberty in the Spirit leads to holiness of heart and life, and a healthy rejection of legalism leads to an embrace of God's law being written on our hearts.
Jesus sets us free from sin, not to sin. And the blood of Jesus does not redefine sin; it highlights the ugliness of sin and provides an antidote for it.
This is the main principle Creflo Dollar taught when he did his series on Grace. He was accused of preaching hyper-grace in the manner Dr. Brown describes, but its not true.

Me too sis....and noteworthy here is the fact that Andrew Womack was accused of that as well for the same reason...
Hyper grace to me is grace that OVERRIDES the will of a person....
