Thread: When Did God's Love Begin?

Today on the treadmill I was thinking about God's love for us. His love is eternal, right? Meaning it has no end, right? So when did God's love for us begin? When we were conceived? When we came to Christ? (We know the latter isn't true). So it occurred to me that God's love for us (being eternal) must mean He has loved us since, like, forever in the past. In short, He loved us individually before time and this universe even existed. Right? If not, when then did His love for us begin?

In pondering this, I'm not suggesting we preexisted in heaven waiting to be born as some cults believe. No, we didn't exist in reality, but we did exist in God's mind and were loved in all eternity past by God even though this universe and time itself didn't even exist. Right?

Have you ever heard a message on when God's love for us began?

That's where, not when.

To answer a "when" question about an Eternal God who exists outside of time seems impossible. I can only think in terms of "In the beginning" or time. He is a God of Love and He has always existed so He has always loved me. Calvary is the manifestation of that Love.

God loves mankind since Adam and Eve were created.
