Let's read the whole Bible according to the letter and not just Quest's choice verses. How about :
34 Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.
35 And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.
36 Or did the word of God come originally from you? Or was it you only that it reached?
37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.
Time to get and remain silent Quest, especially when in your own church.
Then 2 Cor 3 says something about our ministry NOT being according to the letter. Please do not pay attention to that chapter.

Revelation 20:2
He seized the dragon—that old serpent, who is the devil, Satan—and bound him in chains for a thousand years.

You don't like the passage read according to the letter ? Well then there are two things you can do :
1) Tear it out of your Bible and leave it at that
or
2) Read 2 Cor 3 and learn something from that

Only an unmarried man or a man with great faith could write that

Sometimes that is what Paul says, that it is him speaking. This time he says :
37 If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.
Then there are such things as context, intent, the sum of the testimony of scripture etc. Which is what people typically ignore but only in relation to their own choice of verses. For instance :
Mat 19:9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.
Then they typically ignore the following immediate context :
10 His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
11 But He said to them, “All cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given:
12 For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”

Colonel, the discussion regarding a woman speaking in church is a different topic... can you prove the passage of Jesus and the teachings of Paul regarding Divorce are legalism.

Nothing has been ignored Colonel..just because someone does not agree with you or Nikos does not mean they must not have studied their Bible...it could be simply that YOU are wrong...
The disciples words are powerful and supportive of the context of what Jesus just said...it that's true it's better to stay single!
Not sure why eunuchs discussion is supposed to be so impacting? it is just a follow up to 'It's better to not marry at all than to have no option of divorce and remarriage...Jesus merely states not all can remain single, and not all should.

Trying to prove legalism from some other passage/topic makes no sense Colonel...are you desperate now?
If you cannot prove there are 'other legitimate reasons' for divorce from the scriptures you don't have leg to stand on so now you try to prove that following what scripture says ABOUT divorce is legalism...
