Sorry, I only have the FB link to this...
https://www.facebook.com/foxandfrien...17106/?fref=nf
So atheists are saying that a football coach getting baptized on the field before a practice, followed by some of the players is a violation of the first amendment...
Wut?

I would think it was an exercise of the first amendment.

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of Rights.
This was FREE EXERCISE of religion...this was not establishing a religion by government.
The question will ultimately be the USE of school property...Was it during school hours on school pay which is government tax dollars...

This article gives an interview...the coach says he realizes now he should have consulted with the school board. It did not occur to him that it would be an issue.
Villa Rica is a very conservative community that is deep in the heart of the Bible belt...his response proves this.
He states that the baptism is not the issue at all...but where it was done..

Here in OK, primarily in small towns, we have prayer opening some hs football games. At the school our dgd used to attend, they spoke at the Christmas concert how Jesus is the real reason for Christmas. We express ourselves somewhat freely here in the Bible belt.
