That comparison really does put it into perspective doesn't it...

That was the context..but Daniel said the same thing because he would not cease praying...Shadrach and the others refused to bow to an idol...
So it means more than just ceasing to preach the gospel..it is a refusal do do ANYTHING that violates our faith and conscience.
When Paul taught about eating food offered to idols he makes it clear that a person's conscience is essential above the 'issue'. To do something that is 'legal' but violates the conscience is sin because it cannot be done by faith..When my conscience says it's wrong if I do it anyway, my faith is hindered.
Daniel was required to worship an idol irrespective of circumstances, there was nowhere he could go. He wasn't signing papers for idol worshippers either. His situation would correspond to being forced - oneself - to marry and have sexual relations with someone of the same gender. The act of idol worship could get that real back then.
She is a local, elected official, let the people decide.
I believe that she personally will not sign off on those certificates but has not banned others in the office from doing so, so it looks like you could get a license but it wouldn't be signed by her, what's the BIG DEAL?
This is more about states and local rights, not gay agenda.
I get that but it kind of depends, as I see it...IF the law is the law, she should resign and become an activists to change the law. If there is still unsettled legal issues in her jurisdiction..she should stand her ground. Taking an oath of office as a Christian is a binding agreement to enforce/obey the laws..
Isn't there still some question of the legality of this in KY?
Gay mirages are banned in Kentucky.
The feds saw fit to over ride, as they did with roe v wade.
Soooo, this will be another fake issue as Christians climb on board for a federal ban which will never happen.
Restoration of states rights is the only constitutional remedy.
FYI
Attachment 207
Most states do not approve of gay mirages.
