Sitting quietly, standing calmly, hands raised, kneeling, dancing, flagging.

I was in such a place a couple weekends ago and the conference founder doesn't believe in ending the worship till there's breakthrough.

A half hour, an hour, two, two and a half... and the people just press through. Amazing to be part of something like that.

I heard Rick Joyner recently talk about a presence and manifestation of God that happened at Morning Star at about the 8 hour point of a worship session they were in.

AND THAT'S WHERE I LONG TO BE.

I hate denominational labels, other than maybe being IN Jesus or Child of the Most High God. It truly doesn't matter to me as long as we all want to and LONG to worship the Lord together and don't get upset by or judge the the people who choose to worship in a more, or less, exuberant way than the next guy or gal.

    Just worship HIM.

Minus the ribbons and streamers, most Pentecostal churches I've been apart of are just as you described. In fact, you might consider their worship to be extreme?
I have seen some banners, but not a lot. I'm NOT opposed to them.
I have been in several churches that, if you wasn't getting involved in some manner, something was said across the pulpit. Not calling anyone out personally though

I like to be accountable and if I am not in line with the Word, I want to know it. I am not squeamish like the Charismatics. That is why I love the denominations. They are the only ones getting anything done today. Most Charismatics, though they are saved, they are interested in having a good time and they love the " want to feel good" service. If they don't feel good they get very depressed. Why? Because they go by their feelings and not by the Word of God. Many of them are sippers. However, the Word is my guide and I am willing to come under it recognizing the leadership of whatever fellowship I am in. Of course I would not be in any denom or Fellowship unless they are committed to the Word of God.

Whoah - whoah - whoah- whoah....

    GOOD GRIEF, Nikos!!! Judge much???

Just because I say I don't like denominational labels doesn't mean I'm ashamed of who I am... I simply meant that there's too much division caused by the labels and I LOVE interdenominational gatherings where we can worship in one Spririt.

I don't even know where to start to reply to this incredible load of judging your brethren in Christ.

    Wow... just wow...

I use flags (not every song in every worship service) and I always know what is being accomplished in the spiritual realm when I'm using them during worship...

There are things in some denominations that I don't particularly enjoy as worship, but that doesn't mean people shouldn't be allowed to express their worship in whatever way the Holy Spirit asks them to.

There was a time when drums and electric guitars were banned from church worship. There still denoms that don't even allow a piano, all the singing is done acapella, isn't there?

I'm so looking forward to heaven where all this won't even be a memory. We'll just worship.

My post above is a general assessment of the Charismatics. I am in no way speaking to any individual who posts here.

I'm sorry! I meant to say I am NOT opposed to them.
My home church used flags and banners

Yes, the Church of Christ do not believe in musical instruments ( at least not in church)

Thanks..but I am not sure it actually applies generally either...one of the significant, and SPIRIT led aspects of the movement was to restore to the body of Christ the concept of SPIRIT led vs MAN led; to allow Holy Spirit to expose and tear down man made ordinances that are not scriptural.

He led many to FREEDOM from religion that tries to dictate who can obey Holy Spirit and who cannot based on some 'rule' God never intended.

Secondly it freed many who were dedicated to a church body or organization to renew their allegiance to Holy Spirit and be moved.

Yes, some pastors viewed this as rebellion and lack of accountability when in fact many actually were restored to the correct Biblical hierarchy by following Holy Spirit to the gathering HE wanted them submitted to for a season.

Yes some may have gotten out f balance and threw the concept of submission out the window but Holy Spirit has a way of reigning in the pendulum when it swings too far one way or another..

You may have a different experience than me, but my contact with denoms are that they are Spirit led and there is movement of the Spirit with freedom. Charismatics are the ones with the big shot names and celebrity stars. I see them as the ones who are led by man and ego.

That word "denom" is funny. I know I'm not the only one who ends up reading it as :

"my contact with demons are that they are Spirit led"

I'm pretty sure that doesn't amount to correct Pentecostal doctrine, as a matter of fact.
