I'm not even contending with the point victoryword is trying to make, I'm merely referring in general to the practice of using varying obscure (as in unknown, little used) translations to support whatever point one is trying to make. There will almost always be 3 out of 1,000 translations that happen to say something like what one would like them to say. Not the same 3 every time but some 3 will. Including children's bibles and others that victoryword has quoted previously to support his point as if a children's bible is somehow truer to the original text than a more literal translation is. This time he happened to employ :

(A Translation of the Old Testament Scriptures from the Original Hebrew By Helen Spurrell)
(Jewish School & Family Bible, Volume I by Dr. A. Benisch)
The Translations he's used, however obscure, agree with the original text. They just make it more plain. Revelation of the scriptures is progressive and most Christians don't spend enough time in them to get the revelation. So for better understanding, other translations can be used for clarification. Most of us use various translations when we want a clearer understanding if we don't get it right away. Nothing wrong with using them.

We have all used various translations, concordances and even apologetic in study and hunger for truth....in some cases still coming to different interpretations and beliefs...What is important is that we remain open and teachable by THE TEACHER....
He has often led me to varying places and people and translations to teach me...
I would guess, IN CONTEXT, Andrew Wommack was not saying we should not study using various resources...he was likely warning about seeking them out merely to find something to agree with what we already believe...comparative, to itching ears seeking someone to confirm an error or sin....the difference is the condition our our own heart...not the act itself...

Jesus stated all sin originates from the heart (soul) of a person....so yes.
Children's Bible's may very well be easier to grasp mentally for some....
As a child my first encounter with God was through the Bible Stories book series...I saw God clearly in them...some adults who may not have good reading skills may very well glean MUCH spiritual truth from them...remember it is the Holy Spirit that reveals and teaches, not just the BOOK...when I grew up I remembered those childhood encounters even though then I had no idea what they were..

Children's bibles can be useful but not for accuracy in the rendering of a translation.
