In our Hands: The Battle for Jerusalem-Trailer

Anybody going to see this film? It's only showing one day in Tulsa, next Tuesday. My Prayer Group purchased our tickets today. I'm glad we did because it's almost sold out!

Synopsis..."Tells the story of Israel's 55 Paratrooper Brigade and how Israel's Defense Forces risked everything for the sake of their homeland. With firsthand interviews and historical reenactments, this powerful docudrama focuses on the commitment and sacrifice of the soldiers who reunited Jerusalem. Experience an exclusive conversation with Gordon Robertson, as he discusses the significance of the Six-Day War."

CBN invited my wife and I to a premier showing next week in Jerusalem. I saw a preview on Jerusalem Day. It will be showing in Jerusalem at the Cinamatec, just outside of the walls of the "Old City" and within the area of the "No Man's Land" from 1948 -1967. I'll post a review.

Since I'm heading for Jerusalem in the morning to watch the premier tomorrow evening, I suspect there will be more showings and some will be near you. This is just getting started and CBN is looking at a major financial gain. I sat today with an Israeli general who enthusiastically endorsed the book that was the basis for the movie. (He also mentioned that one of his fellow officers was about to make an attempt to run in the next parliamentary election.) We still have good people in both the military and the government in Israel. I sure wish the US government would recognize the legitimacy of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Having this movie become a blockbuster hit would probably help. I plan to add a review Monday.

I just saw the trailer a day ago.. I'd really like to see it, but my time is crazy right now, so I know I won't be able to on Tues.

I'll be watching for Tom's review!

You must've missed the President's speeches concerning Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. He fully supports it as do most of our government. There'll be more.

Okay, I just got back from the Jerusalem premier of the movie, "In Our Hands; The Battle for Jerusalem."
Make no mistake, this is a documentary, not a dramatized and jazzed up production to promote a semi-fictionalized story. It was exceptionally accurate and unblinking in details about the decision makers, the strategists, the heroes and the victims. The locations were authentic, the script was historic and the actors did an excellent job of portraying the legendary characters. There were plenty of actual audio and video clips included that made the recreation of battles and events come to life. I found myself sitting just behind some of the actors and to my amazement I saw them shed tears as they watched the movie with us. Included in the audience were men who actually fought the battles and they testified to the authenticity of the movie. In the end, I will rate this as a truly excellent documentary and very worthy of being watched by everyone over the age of 12.
