Had it happen at the bank a few times. One time many, many years ago, after I cashed my paycheck, the teller gave me the money, then gave me back my check! The thought (of course it was from the devil) flashed through my mind, get outta there quick and go somewhere else to cash it! LOL!
She didnt even realize what she'd done as I stood there with a quizzical look on my face. After a few seconds that seemed like several minutes, I brought it to her attention. She bout fainted! She was so nervous, shocked, and extremely thankful. That money would've come out of her paycheck and she may have been fired had it turned out the other way.

If I were aware of this at the time it happened, I would correct the cashier.
Don't even get me started on making change.

A couple of our major stores now have a policy if the item rings up lower than the actual cost they will give it to you at the lower price so it's legal. They accept the fault for not updating the pricing at the register
I have benefitted a couple of times from that

Same with me, happened just a few weeks ago...I just consider it a wash where it evens out.

Right, if I can catch it immediately I'll say something about it but boy you sure do get some funny looks from folk sometimes.

It sounds like you have more of a grab the money and leave quickly culture than we do in Norway. Now, small time insurance fraud I'm not so sure about...
