Isaiah 53:5
What does "the chastisement of our peace was upon him" mean? It seems a little vague for me. Thanks!

Without doing a deep research I had a quick look at hebrew words and it implies that God punished/disciplined/judged Jesus on our behalf.
The Father wanted to make peace with mankind but he needed someone to pay the price because man deserved to be judged so the punishment went on Jesus so we can have peace with God

It's a great question and obviously important as it speaks about our redemption
Would love to hear from others and what they see
