I have a 2nd Cousin who is very Gay - He is the grown son of my 1st Cousin - I am not particularly close to her, and I barely know him, so if he ever got "married," I would not attend - However, although we're not that close, if he was Straight and I received an invitation, I'd definitely send a gift.

I had a co-worker who was very intelligent, kind, loving, generous and funny - He was Gay and he had a live-in, male "Roommate." A bunch of us (colleagues) would go out to lunch together on occasion and we all got along just fine.

However, if he invited me to a Birthday Party or ever decided to get "married," I would NOT attend either function -And I certainly would not give him a wedding present.

If he ever got sick and I knew about it, I'd be the first one to visit his hospital room and pray for him, but I don't "socialize" with Gays, unless I sense Holy Spirit's leading me to do so for the express purpose of trying to witness and win them.

Actually, I have friends who live together. I've been to their houses and shared dinner with them often. I don't expect them to live by my set of conduct rules.

Would I rather they become believers? or if they confess they are, get convicted and stop, you bet. (as it happens that JUST occured with one. He realized he couldn't be doing the behaviours he was, came under conviction BIG time.)

I just really don't see how you can expect people to live by our guidelines. It's not going to happen. And I'm not cutting my self off from, possibly, being able to be one mirror of Jesus to them.

    not happening.
Those are not our rules or our guidelines those are God's non negotiable rules and Guidelines and yes you can expect them to live by our guidelines if we are willing to take a stance . We are the head not the tail. They dont wag us we should be wagging them ...

I am not saying be a legalist simply saying there is a line where we become enablers and endorsers . Not saying you have crossed it simply saying don't throw caution to the wind either.

Why should we pray when YOU have made up your mind .. kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me ..

No offence but your gay cousin didn't die on the cross for you, Jesus did .. sometimes Love says NO even when it's a tough thing to do ...

Would Jesus attend a gay wedding? .. I mean seriously some things are not as cut and dry from a moral perspective but exactly what redemptive quality can one possibly find in a gay wedding ? Which all said and done is an affront to the very nature of God .. It counts among those things that should not even be NAMED among us .. Seriously How else does one interpret come out from among them ?

    Susan please Do Reconsider

    I chose love and support.

And, I think it's a bit of a stretch to equate a same sex marraige and satanic rituals.

You guys seem to keep forgetting that we're the minority in this.. the World keeps telling people that it's all fine and dandy… not just OK but GREAT! Nonbelievers are never, ever going to think same sex anything is not a problem.

Although, I would never try to convince anyone to go. If you're not comfortable, better not. (Not that I'd be uber comfortable.. no.. )
And Joseph was a minority too so what? .. heck he might has well have gone ahead and had his way with Potiphar's wife afterall he could have rationalized all his actions away couldnt he ?

The Biblical standard says I love you but I will not endorse your sin nor will I even give the appearance of evil. Society's definition of love says that I must support you even in your sin. I think Jesus just might choose the former rather than the latter.

While I agree that these are God's rules, if one doesn't believe, or accept there even IS a God, they are not their rules.. at least not at that time.

I think the assumption is, those of us who would attend, have chalked it up to WhhOOOHHHOO!! Quite contrary. I would have it be known I was there beause I love them, deeply, not because i think it's the best thing.

Another example would be a parent, who's child is marrying someone they don't want as a son/daughter-in-law. Someone they think, to their bones is wrong for their child. Do they not attend? do they attend and put the best face on?
