Out of interest, does anyone saying no actually have any gay friends?
Good question, I have gay acquaintances who I get along well with..but no, no intimate friends. I considered a grandchild in that scenario..my granddaughter and I have had very open discussions on this because she does have gay friends. So if in the future she should tell me she is gay she already understands that I love her very much and would love her 'partner' but because I love them I could NOT support their lifestyle.

A wedding is a celebration of what's happening which is that union. I couldn't go and support that. Birthday party would be fine with me though.

I know a few but no one hardly wants to be a close friend with me knowing where I stand.
On the other hand, I have lost heterosexual church members because I would not cater to or support their common-law marriage situations, and these are people who I was close to. I will love people but I will not compromise with them. My aim is to please Jesus. Can't please Jesus and be a people pleaser. BUt I guess you would not understand that, would you fish guy?

I may adjust my answer slightly. I would attend if I was allowed a few words to say before the wedding. But I would forewarn them about what I would say and then I would leave after I said them and allowed them to go on with the wedding.
Hardly doubt that anyone would want me to come though once they find out what I planned to say and the fact that my exit would be abrupt.

Why or why not :)
Sometimes you have to use an extreme example to make a point. This just points out the 'anti-Godness' of a homosexual wedding and what it represents. Which is why I would not attend.

Well that's not really attending. That's just going to preach and then leave.

True, but at least I can say that I went there

Careful you don't know what is in that cake! It might be full of demons!

Exactly. Being "born" isn't anti-biblical. As I said in the other thread about 1,000 times, when you attend the wedding, you are supporting the union. That is the exact purpose of being an invited guest....to CELEBRATE THE UNION.
