I love a variety of veggies, including various beans. I like red kidney beans cooked in a frying pan with butter. Same with an occasional can of lima beans. I love bean soup, made with the white navy beans. Yep, bean there, done that!

Ditto! - Soaking them makes them "softer" and makes the cooking time shorter - It also cuts down on the *gas factor* - Nothing better than a piping-hot bowl of Navy Beans and a couple of buttery Biscuits on a grey, winter day!

(I also make Black-eyed Peas (usually with stewed tomatoes), and Red Beans (pintos) and Rice on occasion, 'cause Hubby lurves himself some beans - His Mom made them all the time, so I learned to cook them for him)

Yes! - I always use canned (light and dark) kidney beans when I make Chili - Hubby loves Bush's Baked Beans too.

A dash of baking soda added to a pot of beans helps with the 'gas' issue as well....
