In context with the thread title KC has gone after prosperity beyond what is scriptural from Hagins challenge to him and other key wof leaders

Of course one could say that was Hagins opinion ...Hagin says he heard from God
Could you please be more specific ? What exactly did he address and did each of the ministers change their teachings in response to this in any way ?

IMO Gods ministers are to concentrate on ministering the Word etc. and leave making big bucks to Christian businessmen.
Yes God does bless ministers financially but that should never be the main focus. Deception comes in when ministers make money a major focus

"Your Father in heaven knows what you have NEED of before you ask." Lot's of folks have changed that word "NEED" to the word "WANT". Jesus taught that our Father knows that we NEED clothing and food, and will provide them for us, so quit worrying about them. He never taught that our Father was waiting to give us gold plated faucets and fancy cars and lavish mansions.
I like to boil it down to this simple premise: Your heavenly Father has promised that He has your back while you are going about doing His business. He will protect you and provide for your needs. His word says so.

For me the first power move was The Integrity of God's Word'. That one prompted me to view the scriptures to a far different depth...and led me to take a firm stand of faith.

There are many, many Scriptures that very clearly teach how God blesses His children with prosperity, but strangely, all of these verses are always ignored in articles like this.

The problem is not the doctrine of prosperity, .... no, rather, it is the abuse of the doctrine of prosperity, and, of course, the manipulation of good hearted- people by religious hucksters and charlatans.

BTW, the John Oliver piece referred to in the article was from a HBO program. It was full of bleeps that were obviously F-bombs. Do you think a filthy-mouthed comedian mocking Christians has any credibility for correcting wayward television preachers?

Folk need to be careful they don't throw the baby out with the dirty bath water ....
the prosperity doctrine was born out of the WOF beginnings..... yes i know the scriptures concerning prosperity but many in the WOF denom have a way of distorting and twisting these scriptures 2 fit n their boxed n theology. yes God does bless his sons and daughters but not n the way the prosperity teachers present it. as for psalms 35:27 the Hebrew word for prosperity is shalowm meaning peace, quiet, tranquility, contentment, safety, soundness (in body). me thinks the word money, rolls Royce, rolex watches, and mansions were missing in the meaning here. and for the life of me if my Bible tells me right all of the apostles except 1 and Jesus died horrible deaths and lived by faith according to the word of God. lest we forget about Pauls tribulations in 2nd Cor 11:24 - 28. its apparent he did not get hold of kenneth copeland, fred price, and paula whites teachings on the prosperity doctrine n time. apparently they arrived after his death by beheading along with return seed faith offering envelopes.... (please note the humor with a little sarcasm thrown n 2 lighten the moment)
