I have had a couple of fraudulent charges appear on my debit card, and it was replaced the second we called the bank. The only time it might be a problem is if your entire account is wiped out due to an overdraft or something. But generally speaking, the bank is very quick to replace a questionable purchase.

We had someone hack our bank account and move money from savings into checking and do some high-ticket purchases. The second we called the bank, the money was replaced immediately. We did have a bunch of stuff we had to do (close the account and whatnot), so in that sense, it's a pain to deal with.

A credit card is easier to deal with, but you still have to close your account and all of that.
They send a new card with a new number but all prior transactions and records stay with my account...

Last year we made a purchase that arrived damaged..it was an item we needed right away but the company refused to work with us. We asked them to ship us a new one as soon as they received confirmation we had shipped the damaged one back to them(even though we sent them pictures of the damage)..they refused so we called the credit card company and reported them. They immediately issued a credit pending investigation. At that point I contacted the company and told them we had ordered our item form another company and contested their charge. If they wanted their item back to send us a shipping label and we would gladly return it....they sent one immediately and we never heard from them again.

The risk of having my bank account comprised and swept makes the decision for us...there is NO risk with a credit card..sure it can be compromised but if you have a good card with a good bank they will protect YOU in a heart beat..I have a Sapphire Visa and the customer service has been awesome..the first time I called I was shocked! A live person answered the phone...:)

Same here. I had just been saved one month when someone played a tape by him for me called 'God's Creative Power'. I had never heard teaching like that in my first month as a Christian. I actually had them play it again and listened through the whole thing again in the same sitting I was so blown away. The next tape was 'Our Covenant With God' which blew me away even more. I am forever indebted to him getting me off to the 'proper' foundation of faith, authority, healing, kingdom dominion, etc.

But the point I keep making is that the bank will immediately refund your debit/checking account, everything, if it is a fraud case. That's the point.

I also have Lifelock because this year, someone hacked Turbo Tax and got a bunch of SS #'s. Someone got mine and filed a fraudulent tax return. This happened to millions of people. As much as I hate the IRS, they did send me a letter because they flagged the return as suspicious. I mean...the person filed as a single person.....and I'm married 23 years, soooo.....clearly wasn't me. But this happened to a ton of people.

    Crazy.

Never did a thing for me. But that's just me. I did enjoy Ken Hagin a lot, though.

So sad, ... no, ... tragic, to feel that way when the Scriptures say that God delights in the prosperity of His servants.

Ps 35:27 NKJV 27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."

There are many, many Scriptures that very clearly teach how God blesses His children with prosperity, but strangely, all of these verses are always ignored in articles like this.

The problem is not the doctrine of prosperity, .... no, rather, it is the abuse of the doctrine of prosperity, and, of course, the manipulation of good hearted- people by religious hucksters and charlatans.

BTW, the John Oliver piece referred to in the article was from a HBO program. It was full of bleeps that were obviously F-bombs. Do you think a filthy-mouthed comedian mocking Christians has any credibility for correcting wayward television preachers?

Folk need to be careful they don't throw the baby out with the dirty bath water ....

Praise God for faithful servants of Christ like Kenneth and Gloria Copeland!!!

The Oliver piece mocked these Christian brethren and healing ministry with F-bombs. It is deplorable that over 6 million people would watch that trash on a you tube video. America is in such desperate need of earth-shaking revival.

According to Kenneth Hagin senior some of his spiritual followers who were blessed financially had gone beyond what was biblically acceptable and that includes Kenneth Copeland.

That doesn't mean KC has not blessed people in the past or his messages had a powerful effect like it did with Fuego.

In context with the thread title KC has gone after prosperity beyond what is scriptural from Hagins challenge to him and other key wof leaders

Of course one could say that was Hagins opinion ...Hagin says he heard from God
