I don't often watch Christian tv, however when I see Munsey I can't change the channel quick enough.

Doesn't matter. The end doesn't justify the means. He's the worst at manipulating scripture.

I think it matters a whole lot whether they spend the money 100 percent on God's work like they suggest that they will be doing or if they spend the money 100 percent on their own lavish lifestyles. Inventing and promoting unbiblical doctrine is one thing, using that for pure greed is another dimension added to it.
Avanzini used to be totally upfront about it, he told people to sow in his soil because he was rich, making him the recipient of the money rather than God's work. At least per default. That's a regular pyramid scheme.

I don't know the names of these guys.. so I had to go look them up.
I don't remember seeing Munsey.. but I did watch Mike Murdoch and I was not only stunned but outraged.

If it's a small percentage and the rest goes to God's work then it's a commission based job. Which could be vastly overpayed of course. Which in any case means the corresponding message is likely to be emotionally manipulative rather than anointed and scriptural.

Yeah, Mike Murdoch does it too. That's how a lot of this works for them and lots of preachers. They are the recipient of their own teaching. People naturally are drawn to give to the people that they hear it from. Generally speaking you won't see it work for the average Christian like it does them.
