I don't see any reason to believe that Quest but the wording is sufficiently convoluted in places that it's possible to interpret that as non-universalism then force that interpretation onto the rest. I think I'm done with that mess.

I did accept his word he wasn't a universalist even though I expressed concerns about his God the Father metaphor
Now he comes up with this latest book and more weird comments - I don't think we can just ignore them
You have to ask - Why are inclusionists reading inclusionism into the book as they are not criticising him but happy with what he wrote
The old saying comes to mind - wheres there smoke ....
IMO he is untrustworthy and is not acting with sincerity - he needs to make CLEAR CONCISE statements what he believes NOW as his latest book has revealed more confusing comments

Why would a theologian use the phrase 'hopeful universalist' to describe himself. He knows the word 'universalist' has specific meaning and then he tries to put his twist on it.
He denies he is a universalist but he leaves room for doubts in peoples minds - if you can't see that then we have to agree to disagree
I believe the christian community deserves a clear cut statement on heaven, hell and eternal life as these are basic doctrines.
