I was accused of saying racist comments and I have no idea what or why I was so charged. I don't get it. Some are too quick to make charges against others. Especially those who say they are Christians. But I notice they are very quick too call me all kinds of names. I just don't get it
I don't believe that you meant any harm but you do have to be careful what you say because certain things bring up stereotypes that many of my people find offensive. Associating Black people with foods like watermelon and fried chicken (both of which I absolutely do love) was used in the past to demean and insult us.
It was like some years ago when a woman from another country told me that she preferred to date "N------". I knew she did not mean any harm. She only meant to say that she was attracted to Black men. But her statement caught me off guard. I then began to explain to her why she should NOT use that word when making reference to her dating preference.
No harm, no foul. Just remember that not all Black people like watermelon and fried chicken (though I have to admit they are far and few in between). Furthermore, not all of us have rhythm and can play basketball (my Japanese wife dances way better than me and I stink at most sports, so I don't fit the stereotypical Black man in this regard).
I hope you understand now.
I visited the Conservative site last night...read a variety of stuff and decided I would not feel 'safe' posting...then I saw this and breathed a sigh of relief....glad I was slow to speak...
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
