Silence the political rants on your Facebook feed
I don't "do" Facebook, but I did come across this for anybody who might be interested...
Silence the political rants on your Facebook feed

Facebook didn't start out as a political pulpit, and there's no reason it has to be one. If you turn to Facebook to relax and share recipes, photos and life updates with your closest friends, that is absolutely your right. But at the same time, you don't necessarily want to unfriend people you care about because they happen to be blowhards.
Here are some handy tools for damming the deluge of politics on Facebook. They're not perfect, but they'll drastically reduce the spite and vitriol you encounter on social media. I think you'll be surprised how well they work...
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
(Ephesians 4:17-18)
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
(Psalm 1)

This sounds like the writings of a typical liberal. I enjoy the political feeds I get on Facebook.

It can get overwhelming...and folks should maintain their page as they choose...but lie Nikos I get a little red flag because If we earned anything this last election it was that the mainstream media was unable to suppress the truth and that was primarily due to the sharing of information on Facebook....I am somewhat manging mine by simply clicking on the drop down and hiding stuff from cites I KNOW are promoting false information...
But the last thing I want to do is shut out the sharing process of friends and acquaintances that discover information I need to know...and may not have come across my path...
Face it, if I had been depending on mainstream media yesterday I would not have even known about the firing of the 'ghost government' group that was involved in massive cover up and illegal hiding of documents ordered to be released...
CBS, the only reporting agency in the mainstream reported it as routine but irresponsible...it was neither routine or irresponsible...
I prefer to directly involved in my content rather than set up some filtering system that may very well be designed to suppress the truth..

Like I said, I don't "do" Facebook.
I get my news by other methods.

I'm getting a little weary of all of the political stuff myself. Some folks go too far. I'm beginning to "unfollow" those who go to the extreme with it. Staying friends, but I don't get their posts in my News Feed unless they "tag" me, which most don't.
