it's so much worse than before the election.
I've just stopped responding to a lot of it.. reminding them I'm not obligated to engage in any post, it doesn't mean I agree or disagree it means I'm not interested in fighting.

Have you heard the entertainer Colbert on the Late show. Wow! He really blasts Trump! I am through with watching him ever again!

Yes, she is a Christian and used to have a big Jesus (with Superman "S" shield logo) in her profile picture but changed it a few days ago. She and I got into a heated debate over the women's march last week in which I told her how stupid it was and she has been dogging me every since. Surprised she has not unfriended me yet since I have had at least one "unfriend" since giving major support for Trump on my page (with two new friends since).

I think that is a very good point. Outside of this forum, I wasn't involved in social media during Bush's administration and most of Obama's administration. I only started doing social media (Personal FB account and Twitter) in 2014. The first month on FB I brought some of my issues with President Obama and I was bitterly attacked by friends who were, not only Christians, but were ministers. Furthermore, they were supposed to be "Word" people. I was in deep shock. Man, I gave great consideration to shutting down my FB page that first year. I decided to keep it up because I believed that is what the Lord wanted, and did not want ME backing down from the truth.
Social media is a TRIP. My years of watching FOX news never prepared me for what I would encounter on it.

The real problem is not social media. It is spiritual warfare going on in these last days. It will intensify.

I still get engaged but have determined not to be baited....my comments will be limited to FACTS and questions....one rule is to not use labeling and another is not to 'defend' myself when called names....and lastly if I find I am having difficulty sticking to that I exit....I believe social media is important as there are a lot of young people out there and they need some voices of wisdom....if voices of wisdom leave all that will be left is Satan's crowd...
I believe as the Spirit wills we must stay engaged and involved....Satan's strategy is to frustrate us into silence...

I was called one of the worst names without an apology, and that by a preacher, right here on this forum! It was very offensive. Sometimes I have disagreed with someone's viewpoint and people have actually lied and accused me of saying what I did not say. I have found it hard to forget about what happened. All I can do is not engage in any interaction with that person. It is a sad thing to happen among believers. I will leave them in the hands of the Lord.
However, this forum has many wonderful Christian people. I disagree with many, but I respect their right to express their viewpoints. We are blessed to have such a fantastic forum.
