Just a guess.

TB did "genuinely repent" from all that I could tell, and the entire matter was publicly hashed out via videos, with every step of the process detailed. There is no reason whatsoever to even question this, as it was all painstakingly documented years ago. It is the worst sort of bitter cynicism to make these sorts of accusations out of thin air, never giving the benefit of the doubt to people.

Yet out "of thin air" you have decided that he truly repented. How do you know? You like to accuse others of knowing certain things, I say you don't know if he was truly repentant or not. Usually a life of repentance and holiness should follow and living in adultery with a woman who came in and stole the husband of another lady has little respect from me. I question genuine repentance.

oh yes! thanks AG.. I thought that a bit strange.
how does anyone judge their heart? We don't know.. only God knows hearts. So, we're admonished to rely on their fruit and what they say.
Nikos.. you know I love you.. but you need to realize what grace is about. I still remember my dad (who'd been abandoned by his first wife. While he was in Europe fighting WWII his *wife* was having affaires etc. When he got home he allowed her to file for divorce so as to not completely demolish her what was left of her tattered reputation.)
He was not a super demonstrative guy.. but he loved the Lord.. and he was barred from being a deacon.
that's ridiculous.
If Jesus forgives us.. and
then we need to forgive each other and give mercy and restoration..Psalm 103:
8 The Lord is compassionate and merciful,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
9 He will not constantly accuse us,
nor remain angry forever.
10 He does not punish us for all our sins;
he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
11 For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
12 He has removed our sins as far from us
as the east is from the west.
13 The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
stop shooting our wounded.

TB never repented of adultery, never turned away, just went straight on into new marriage with the one he was committing adultery with. A bit of a spiritual shell game ensued for the sake of the cameras, but no, no repentance.
BTW, David lost his son, there was a heavy price to pay for his sin, the notion that he "walked" is not true. God did not fully restore his son to him.
My understanding of repenting of adultery would be to break the relationship with the one you adulterating with but I suppose out there in some spiritual lala land, you just go ahead and marry her, make your sin "official".
