Bystanders Cheer on Police as They Break Up Anti-Trump Protest in OR
Dramatic video shows bystanders cheering on police officers who broke up an anti-Trump street protest Wednesday in Portland, Ore.
Portland Police Bureau officers in riot gear emerged from behind a stopped bus to confront the protesters, who were blocking traffic in the city's downtown area near the intersection of Southwest Yamhill and 6th Avenue.
Police threw several protesters to the ground as people watching cheered them on and thanked them, according to Fox 12 Oregon.
"Take them all down!" one man was heard yelling.
"Thank you for doing your jobs guys, appreciate it," another said.
Portland police said 14 people in total were arrested throughout the city in connection with protests, with six coming at Southwest Yamhill and 6th Avenue.
In a series of tweets, Fox 12 Oregon reporter Kelsey Watts chronicled the scene before and after the police arrived.

All these protesters need to get jobs and a life. Then they wouldn't have all this idle time on their hands to bring chaos to the streets.
They contribute nothing to society, and they drain the attention of law enforcement officers who could be serving their communities by taking care of serious crimes.
If they really want to walk around the streets so much, maybe they should be given orange jump suits and community service picking up trash from the side of the road.
