Alveda King: I Agree With Trump's Criticism of Rep. Lewis' District
Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., said she agreed with President-elect Donald Trump's criticism of Rep. John Lewis's, D-Ga., district.
"Atlanta actually does need help. So I really agree with the president. Let's fix Atlanta. Let's fix America," King, who grew up and lives in Atlanta, told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program Monday.
Three-fourths of the city is contained in the district that the Democratic congressman represents.
Lewis had announced that he would not attend Trump's inauguration because he did not believe Trump was a "legitimate" president, which led to criticism from Trump on Saturday.
The president-elect said the Georgia Democrat needs to focus on fixing his own district, which Trump said is in "horrible shape."
"I actually admire Congressman Lewis' legendary legacy of civil rights and working with my uncle M.L. in the civil rights movement of the 20th century," said King.
"And so I believe he should stay on that track, nonviolent conflict resolution. I believe that Congressman Lewis can actually help America by working with the president," she added.
She spoke at a Thursday gathering of POTUS Shield, a prayer group that supports the incoming president, according to CBN News...

Amen sister King! She and her cousin, MLK III, are showing what true leadership looks like.

What's interesting is that he's used that line before...he skipped Bush's inauguration too:

Someone posted it on Facebook, and I almost hollered when he said "the same people that stomped him (Lewis), and beat his head in, he has joined them."

I am a part of a few groups on FB such as "Common Sense Black Conservatives" and groups like that. I can't remember which one of them posted that video but I listened to it and immediately shared it. I am becoming so fed up with the anti-Christ liberal mindset. Being a part of the Civil Rights Movement does not give a person anymore right to act like the back of the bottom side of a donkey than anyone else. That's like saying I have the right to beat my wife now because I treated her well for 30 years.
If anything, acting this way has practically destroyed any progress that was made during the Civil Rights Movement. It also denigrates the primary purpose of the movement which was equal treatment among all races, not promotion of hatred towards someone just because you don't like them. Communism at its finest.
