-Wrong. Not nitpicking at all. Being specific is important if you call an evangelist a prophet.
-Desiring clarity and good communication isn't akin to policing a thread.
-My reading comprehension is great and this thread actually isn't about Bentley, but about the Word he gave, though you and Nikos have tried to make it about Bentley.
-Instead of getting defensive and prickly over nothing, all you had to say was: I can see where calling an evangelist a prophet would be somewhat confusing. Because I was a lil confused when I read that post. Done
thanks for the nit picking, I made a lot of posts here and used both variations, who made you the thread police? I'm really putting forth general principles, TB isn't the main topic, had you read the thread you may have been able to grasp that.

The Bible itself is a bit confusing when it talks about prophets and prophecy.
1 Cor 14:29 NKJV Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge.
30 But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent.
31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged.
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets
As if prophets, at least in this passage, merely refers to "those who prophesy" or even "those who employ one of the revelatory gifts" since tongues+interpretation and revelations are discussed just before that.
Then the Bible places the ministry gift of the prophet among the five ministry gifts which makes it distinct from the gift of prophecy which is mentioned among the nine gifts of the Spirit.

To me it sounded like he thinks you are a real prophetess serving the real God. That is what the characters at BV sounded like at times too, though they didn't approve of it and they certainly didn't act according to their "faith" or "conviction" or whatever it should be called.

Thanks, Pentecali....
Thing about some of this is, I believe there is no scale on sin. It's all judgeable.
Looking at someone of the opposite sex with lust, Jesus said he as committed adultery in his heart.
Gossip is measured the same as murder.
Liers, gluttons (look how many overweight Christians there are!!!) .... it's all sin.
So are we going to disqualify everyone in ministry???
We will all stand before the Great White Throne of Judgement and have our lives and ministries judged by the one who shed his blood for us.
