Todd Bentley is not a prophet, never claimed to be a prophet, and has only and always called himself an evangelist.
Once again, people do not understand the distinction between the ascension five-fold office of prophet, versus someone operating in the gift of prophecy.
This is why there is so much confusion in the Body of Christ.

I do believe that those in the "prophetic stream" do more harm to the ministry of prophecy than any other group. There is a difference between being persecuted for Christ and being called out for flaky ministry or shoddy ministerial standards.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

There is that too.

There are people who don't claim to be prophets who probably are. Rick Joyner doesn't claim to be one, isn't that right ? Apostles and prophets aren't that popular titles, including among many Pentecostal/Charismatics.

Well, you were the one that called Bentley a prophet in that post I quoted, John (at least insinuated it). I don't know of anyone else that has ever called him a prophet. I was kinda puzzled that no one else brought this up, to be honest.

I know that God can change hearts and do wonders in people's lives, however, this man in my view has eliminated himself from returning to any kind of pulpit ministry. He should not be preaching but should be in the audience receiving from others ministries. He has Power kicked and punched too many too many times and then went off stage to commit adultery. I would not sit under his self-called ministry.I would tell him to SIT DOWN AND KEEP YOUR PLACE!!!
BTW, this forum is for all to post on and should never be off limits to your point of view. Just because someone disagrees makes no difference. We should all be able to speak to a topic. I am amazed that as a moderator you would try to control the forum like this.

Thank you for stating your opinion, but as I said before, in very controversial topics, others have requested that a topic not go a certain direction and no one has ever objected.
IF someone is in ministry (we all are).
IF that someone sins (we all do).
IF that same someone truly repents and does not continue in their sin (not all do).
IF that same someone takes time away from ministry and receives Godly counsel (not all do).
IF that same someone's relationship grows deeper and stronger in the Lord (not all do).
IF God's calling is still on that person's life (God never kicks us aside but may change our direction somewhat).
IF they are still willing and able to be used of the Lord (some are and some still carry shame [which is of the enemy] and aren't).
WE can whine and moan and judge all we want.
WE don't have to go to their meetings.
WE don't have to donate to their ministry.
WE CAN, however judge the fruit of their life and ministry NOW, not 7 years ago.
Last I heard, if we truly repent, God throws our sin into the sea of forgetfulness.
Last I heard, if we truly repent, He removes our sin as far as the east is from the west.
Last I heard, our sin is covered and we are white, like the new fallen snow.
Last I heard, God uses IMPERFECT PEOPLE.
What about the thread I started about the young woman who was serving the Lord with all her heart and was raped and out of that trauma, chose the life of a porn star. Should she hide out in shame for the rest of her life because of the shame she brought to her parents, herself, the body of Christ???
These stories are the stories of how Christ RESTORES us. Not partially, but COMPLETELY... to even BETTER than we were before.
Put down your rocks, people.

According to the OP the writing is a prophecy. That is the way it is signed along with the one who prophesied.
Excuse me, but a prophet prophecies. If he calls it a prophecy, we are to follow that he is a prophet! Duh!

Duh! Any saint can move in the GIFT OF PROPHECY.
Again, this is why there is so much confusion in the Body of Christ.
