for those of you playing along at home.. Duane's started his official "nothing to eat" for his surgery.
we will be starting our day at 9:00 am with his pictures of which lymph nodes to remove.
They will be starting the surgery at 11:45am.
lots happening.. 2 removals, 1 plastic surgery, 1 skin graft (from his thigh)
oh yes .. the adventure continues.

    Whew! What a day!

We started at 9 in the imagining center getting the lymph nodes shot up. The PET scan had shown that there were a few suspscious ones.. but apart from that, NO cancer to any other area of his body. YAY!!! His dr will have the verdict on these in 2 weeks.

They did his nose, he kind of looks like Frankenstein.. how appropriate for Halloween, eh? It will calm down, but it will be some time.. it really does look like I socked him a good one.. and I promised that might be a reality if he ever pulled anything like this again, EVER.

On his arm they removed an 18x22 area of skin.. which means they had to remove a like amount for a graft, from his thigh.

He's in serious pain and oozing.. (they said that's all *normal*) .. The insurance never sent the healing technology thing there were supposed to, so there's kind of a cast thing to hold the skin in place… His dr said she may still call and fight with them on Monday (this after 5 hours on Thurs and 2 more this morning).

I, personally, want to light their hair on fire..

BUT, the saving grace for them is that I know, our God is STILL in control.. and no matter what, I trust Him.

It was an amazing thing to know so many people were in prayer.. my sisters had time together this morning. Duane and I had time this morning. Before he went in, Duane, Sandy and I had time together.. my BSF sisters were all, I mean ALL over this! I find my dear friends at LFF have joined too!!

So, now he's on the mend.. it will be a while before he's up and around.. and absolute 2 weeks NO lifting, etc.. but more probably 4.

    Another chapter of the Adventure!

Went to an 'estate sale' at a closed down police station in my old neighborhood that they're going to turn into a museum...good deals and a fun tour too.
