You could try putting up a webcam or something and record her to see what she is doing. May be revealing.

    Cats are wonderful creatures.

Why not set a plate for her?

Our Missy would do odd things.. she'd get a bit crazy for a while.. then snap back..

maybe that's why we love them so much.. they're a little bit crazy, like their human

I LOVE my cat...but I draw the line at her eating out of my plates, or being up on my table/counters and leaving fur in my food making/eating areas.

Jim says that pets take on the personality of their owners.

If the cat is climbing up on the counters, it is doing that because it wants to.

It could even be the other way around. Soon Lista will follow suit and will be jumping onto her table.

Found 4 kittens on the porch delivered by feral mom, did the trap, neuter, release thing, they are still on the porch.

    They do what they do.

Seriously though lista, some cats are bush cats, they are comfortable hiding out on the ground, some cats are high cats, they like a high view of things, some cats are a bit of both. If your cat is going on the counter, try giving it it's own perch. A cat ladder thingie, it's not the counter it likes, it's the view.

You give them what they want, you don't tell them what to do, they are cats.

It's not even fur that I worry about. Think: Litterbox!

We've always had cats and dogs in the house. We had a pekingese who, if we left a chair pulled out from the table would use it to get up on the table to look out the kitchen window. BAAAAD Doggggy!!!
