Nonono, Bill Johnson is a brand plucked from the fire, clothed with rich robes and wearing a clean turban on his head. If you are looking for a great falling away then you should look elsewhere. You won't find it on this forum either.

    Sure about that???

I know, I know... this is like going to the pastor of a church when he teaches something that's not biblical and it's always the same story... "no, we teach the TRUTH here... other churches may teach some false stuff, but no us, no sir!"

Regardless of who is teaching or preaching... their doctrine MUST be judged by God's written Word like the Bereans in Paul's day who searched the scripture to see if what Paul was teaching was true and Paul had no problem with that.

Today, most preachers accuse you of heresy if you dare to not immediately agree with them, vigorously.

Jesus warned that there would be MANY false teachers in the time before His return which are the days we live in now... it's be a good idea to take what He said as a heads up and be a watcher on the wall knowing this and being ready for it.

    Matthew 24:3-5
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am anointed; and shall deceive many.

And so the obvious question is: Are you open to correction when you are wrong? Or are you never wrong? It's always the other guy who's in error?

The tiny man in the clanking armor knows how to employ the Bible he is standing on. But for what purpose ? Anyone can quote scripture. Even an angel of light can do that. And of course, his ministers.

I get correction from God's Word all the time... which is what the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ does, leads folks to God's Word.

    2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

When it comes to doctrine, lots of people have lots of ideas... and many get their doctrine from men rather than God's Word which they will find to be a mistake.

That's a correction I got from the Lord a few years ago is to quite putting preachers on a pedestal and have a personal relationship directly with Him judging doctrine against God's Word to see if preachers are telling it right or not... most are teaching some form of false doctrine these days cause... God said that's how it would be in the end times.

Some people have made an idol out of their favorite preachers and they don't even know it... if the light that is in them is darkness, how deep is that darkness (Matthew 6:23).

Look, talkboards are typically a place where people exchanges thoughts and ideas... feel free to ignore me if you disagree. It won't hurt my feelings and I won't care either way.

Yeah, I do. I've spent a couple of years talking to an upfront one on an other forum previously. Incognito but still upfront. I've also watched posters on several forums discuss their agendas and exploits among Christians, both the upfront kind of exploits and also the totally deceptive kind.
