Kirk De Venney: Fidel the communist dictator that ruled Cuba with an iron fist is dead.
He has now met The One True God whom he hated. He must now answer for the 1,000s of Christians he imprisoned and the 1,000s he killed. 2 pastors whom I knew and one sweet 17 yr old girl who was a translator who they tortured and killed for her love of Jesus.
I was honored by this same God to minister twice in Cuba to the underground persecuted church. I remember being chased by secret police, of sneaking out at night to buy bread on the black market for a starving Christian family. Of homes with no furniture as it had all been sold to buy food.
Oh yes the glory of communism and socialism.
Above all else I remember the faces and voices of the persecuted church in Cuba. I smuggled a tape out from the church there and one after another they said "tell the world please of the persecution the church suffers here, please tell our brothers and sisters in the USA to pray for us."
Pray for the people and church in Cuba!!!!
René A Gallo Kirk De Venney, I will never forget their faces, their voices, their life sacrifices for the Gospel, and their death brought about by orders of Fidel Castro. I will never forget Monica's last words, the pastors last hug. Knowing that we would never see them again because they were sacrificing their lives for Christ in Fidel's communist Cuba, and so they did. I will never forget that we had to run for our lives for trying to buy bread and also smuggling God's bread into Cuba. I will never forget the girls and lady's lineup at El Malecón waiting for a "turistas" to pick them up in exchange for a plate of food. The list can go on and on. I will never forget.

Well he's actually been the boss for awhile now. At least in theory.
