There were no helicopters in Bible days nor even lifebuoys (Leonardo da Vinci (April 1452 – May 1519) was perhaps the first to think of the idea). Why do we use such illustrations? Why not assist people in knowing their Bible by using Bible illustrations?
If we go back to Bible times and recreate the setting what Bible example do we have that perfectly illustrates salvation? Why Lazarus of course!
As his sister says "Lord, by this time there will be a stench, for he has been dead four days" to which Jesus' response is to cry "out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth." (and) The man who had died came forth, bound hand and foot with wrappings".
Churches claim to be Bible believing. Then why do they not use it?
