    Back to the discussion on women ministers. This is a useful verse for that type of discussion :

    Col 1:9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
    10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;

    As you can see, verse 9 doesn't stop with "the knowledge of his will", it adds "in all wisdom and spiritual understanding".

    1 Cor 8:1 We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

    Knowledge of what the various commandment-like verses in the NT says does not equal wisdom and spiritual understanding. There is more there than an oppurtunity to apply them indiscriminantly according to the letter.

    It seems God knows a little more about biology than you do FT.

    Nothing in scripture even remotely proves your theory, so it's all conjecture.

    Feel free to post some scripture references that prove your theory or even come close to talking about your theory.

    When I was filling out the paperwork for my 2nd year at RHEMA, there were several areas of ministry listed and we were to choose which one we would be entering. I was about to check the "Evangelism" box when I clearly heard Holy Spirit say, "you are to teach, sign for the teaching ministry."

    He did not say, but only teach females and little boys, he said TEACH. Period. The. erroneous notion of women forbidden to teach men is not supported by the scriptures. No matter how much folk twist them.
    When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.

    I certainly have nothing against women in ministry, teaching, preaching, etc. I thought we were discussing women in authority over men such as women pastors.

    My emotions lead me in both directions on that one. I feel that some women become senior pastors because they want to take on a role that to them just isn't right. I don't feel that way in general. I'm not sure which one I think is the exception to the rule, the godly version or the ungodly version. I don't feel anything at all when it comes to women teachers, prophets, evangelists.

    That was another Jesus speaking then...

    Qualifications for Ministry according to scripture... unless some choose to believe 1 Timothy 3:1-13 is not part of scripture?

    If this section of scripture is not inspired by the Holy Spirit... then, what other sections of scripture are false?

    1 Timothy 3:1-13
    This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
    A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
    Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
    One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
    (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
    Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.
    Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
    Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;
    Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
    And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
    Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.
    Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
    For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

    Bishop - Strongs G1985
    a superintendent, i.e. Christian officer in genitive case charge of a (or the) church (literally or figuratively): KJV -- bishop, overseer.

    Deacons - Strongs G1249
    probably from an obsolete diako (to run on errands; compare 1377); an attendant, i.e. (genitive case) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specially, a Christian teacher and pastor (technically, a deacon or deaconess): KJV -- deacon, minister, servant.

    For me personally... I cannot reject 1 Timothy 3:1-13 as being false and I've heard so much error from women preachers that I'm not interested in listening to any of them any further.

    It's too late in the day to listen to error...

    I don't feel anything at all when it comes to women teachers, prophets, evangelists.
    Yes, this is how we are led... by our "feelings" instead of God's written Word.
