WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on the 2016 presidential campaign (all times EDT):

Donald Trump is promising religious activists that he will cherish, protect and defend Christian values like they’ve “never seen before.”

The thrice-married New York billionaire delivered a speech Friday afternoon at the Values Voter Summit in Washington. It’s among the largest gatherings of conservative Christians ahead of the November election.

Trump declared that political leaders have “abandoned” people of faith in America. And he said that today’s “media culture often mocks and demeans people of faith.”

He made the religious conservatives a promise: In “a Trump administration, our Christian heritage will be cherished, protected, defended like you’ve never seen before.”

Trump also promised to repeal the so-called “Johnson amendment.” The law prevents religious institutions and other tax-exempt groups from endorsing political candidates.

Interesting development with Trump. After the Supreme Court decision in favor of same sex marriage, I clearly registered a change in the spiritual climate, along with other Christians. Also, along with many other Christians, I began to reckon on persecution at a new level and prepared to stand and position for use in the changing times. When Trump came along, it seemed a tool was being provided to change the opposing climate. It appears more that way as it goes. It's not him -- the man is as lost as a goose himself, don't kid yourself. Pray for him. Though he "feels the love" and witnesses to the depth of Christian value, commitment and power, his best shot at it right now is that we are all creations of God. Okay, fine. We'll keep praying. In the meantime, it looks like the anticipated revival many have been talking about will proceed without so many impediments.

I'm with Trump when he asked, "what have we got to lose?" America has a better chance with him than Clinton. Third and fourth candidates don't have a snowball's chance in the desert, so I'll be voting for Donald Trump. I felt better about my decision knowing the people he'll have around him and when he announced Governor Pence as his VP.
When your praise match your prayers, the answer will come.
