    Baboon v Snake

This is from an outside voice but the reason so many non Americans have an interest in POTUS is because America leads the world and what happens there eventually flows to us. When it comes to politics it is divisive even in the church and and we have to use all our strength to put aside personal preferences to support hopefully the 'better' candidate

I was discussing the US election with my wife and another believer and we all felt the same way.....neither of us liked the way Trump behaved. He makes you cringe.
He is childish, arrogant, big mouth, makes things up, comes across like a bully....I could go on
I also struggle with the prophetic voices supporting Trump and not convinced God is behind all those prophecies

But we know the track record of Hillary and the biggest concern is she supports groups who have a clear anti christian agenda

Then I found myself saying something comical .....I won't say it was inspired but it came out of mouth before I could think

I said I would rather vote for a 'baboon in the tree' than a 'snake in the grass'.....it made my wife chuckle

As I thought about it in some ways it made sense....Trump acts like a baboon ranting, screeching and bellowing and they come across as very intimidating and ugly
But what about a snake.... it is more silent than a baboon, it hides in the grass and it slithers along, it is sneaky, speaks with forked tongue but the worst thing it can KILL with its bite

I believe this represents Trump and Hillary.....who ultimately is more dangerous the snake or the baboon....the baboon looks, threatens and sounds more dangerous
But if you were in Africa .....which one really is the more scary and dangerous one to confront

I admit this could all be psychological as my preference is Trump...then again was it a freakish 'word' from God that came out of my mouth

I had a baboon in my car when I was in Ethiopia. It could be reasoned with aka smacked to get back out the window again. A snake would have done something different.

It was going for the source of the cookies I had thrown out the window. Didnt think it would manage to get through that window but it did, and with amazing speed and agility.

Well, neither is attractive, and both are dangerous, in my view.

Personally speaking, what I find scary about Trump are the following:
    a) He doesn't seem to have any core values.
    b) He seems to be completely lacking in empathy.
    c) He's a liar. (But this is true of all politicians, so I can't really hold this against him. Perhaps what's particularly disturbing about his brand of lying is that he doesn't even try to cover up his lies; he's comfortable about being known to be a liar as if lying didn't matter.)

Sounds like you just described Hillary Clinton!

(except for the core values part - we already know her "core values")
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (futility) of their mind, having the understanding darkened...
    (Ephesians 4:17-18)

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly...
    (Psalm 1)
