Reminding folks what God's Word says IS being supportive.... people petting other people's feelings and emotions just enables them to remain in the hardship they are currently in and does nothing to help them get free.

I know depression, for years. I'm simply saying only consistently DOING God's Word will set people free and anything less helps the roots of infirmity grow deeper strengthening the stronghold.

Gods word says that ye shall pray for the sick and they shall be healed. If your faith ain't there yet and you can't minister that, maybe shut up. You don't minister to the depressed or the sick by pointing out their faith deficiencies, you pray for them, they get healed or you pray for a worker to come along and do it. Quit being a twit.

Jesus Christ is Author and Finisher of our faith, who are you to judge the Author, or His servant?

    Been there.

Mine went away when I got deliverance. And one would think it would be a "spirit of depression."

It wasn't. It was 2 spirits. Guilt and condemnation. When those 2 were gone, so was the depression.

Mine was more of what's diagnosed as seasonal affective disorder. C-R-A-S-H in the winter and almost fine in the summer.

    Gone. Gone. Gone.

    Praise God!!!

Praying you find your deliverance, too, MarieAnne!!!

I read that's a huge problem in Alaska...I was researching sun simulator lamps and read that they were first designed to treat SAD. It said we need 30 minutes of direct sunlight to the eyes...

Vitamin D can counter the effects of SAD, the body creates vitamin D in response to sunlight. No sun, no D.

Actually I did not see that FT pointed out 'faith deficiencies'. He gave words of encouragement based on who we are in Christ...

I may have missed it though...just sayin...

Well I sure hate to start a controversy here. My intention was to be transparent about a struggle that so many go thru. To let them know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and you can get help and be free. That you are not a freak or less than because you have the issue .
Every day is a new day with a new miracle. God heals and keeps us from so much. He is enough in every single situation. Regardless of how many avenues HE uses to bring freedom. God is enough. I am so changed by HIS love and presence and gentleness. His Spirit made such a difference in who I am. Anyone that deals with this issue..do not feel less than. Do not feel ashamed. If you had a rash or a broken arm or any other "physical" malady you would not even blink. God would be enough and You would accept the avenue he chose for healing.
Look up and be encouraged. I can tell you..I am living proof that in every situation God is enough. And that He brings miracles and light day by day. Hang in there people.
and bless each one of you that has posted.
No I am not a basket case. I am sharing the journey. He has healed and delivered and will continue to do so till the last day. I am victorious and free in Christ and so glad of it.

Lovely testimony to our awesome DAD! I had an experience over the past few days that are a testimony to His continual healing in brain also. At work I had misplaced a check..looked everywhere, I thought, for two days. Last night the normal anxiousness of the body tried to kick in so I just prayed, "Lord You know where that check is. Lead me to it and I took captive the 'fear thoughts' and replaced them with faith in HIM to do this. He even helped me to recall other times when panic used to cause me to REACT and REGRET and how over the years numerous times He led me to BE STILL...This morning I walked into the office, prayed again and started to search and THERE IT WAS...still in my scanner...now here's the quirky thing...I had printed and scanned so many documents over the past few days and none of them detected this was still in the machine! I have never had that happen before. My scanner copier is super sensitive!

God is so awesome..years ago fear would have griped me, self ridicule would have consumed me...God taught me that 'anxiety disorder, just like all these other 'mental illnesses' are believing a lie or believing multiple lies..and most of them get their power from not knowing who we are in Christ and what HE has provided for our becoming all HE has called us t be...YEA GOD!!!

It is just scary how fear and worry can creep in if you are not careful and mess things up. The past few days God has been highlighting things in me that are caused by fear and worry. You are right, you just have to reject those things and tell them to go. When you don't do that you can give a place for the enemy to mess with things. I apologize here and now for anything that seems out of character for me or was offensive. For whatever reason the fibromyalgia has just been messing with me something fierce the last few days and making life difficult.
