Scientists have employed the size of the human being relative to the Universe in an attempt to make us all totally insignificant and worthless. It's part of how Satan employs the atheistic mindset to subdue people and alienate them from the truth.

I employed the size of the human being relative to the Universe in an attempt to show how big our God is.

What you said isn't untrue but there are many things to be said about the theme.

I believe the themes that Romans 12:3 (in context) addresses are humility and self-sacrificing love:
    1) Don't think you're better than others because your position is more prestigious; we all have our callings, and whether that calling is to be a popular leader of thousands or a quiet care-giver to one, it's an important calling.
    2) Don't be prideful; be happy to associate with those at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder.
    3) Don't be consumed by your own problems; realize that others have equally difficult problems.
    4) Recognize that other peoples' lives are as important to God as yours is.

At least that's the message that I get from the passage.
