    It's like a high-level management meeting

Does this belong here? To me it's funny (sorta) so why not.

A couple of threads here remind me of high level management meetings.

There's a management problem, we say salvation is the dependant on our choise, but then someone asks "What about kids who are too young to choose?" and the response is we'll have an "age of accountability".

And GodismyJudge asks "Do you remember when it was that you reached "The Age of Accountability"?" and about a dozen people chime in.

And in itself it's sounds like a good idea.

So the techo in the room starts asking questions about the details and it goes quiet ....

Only two people respond, one cheekly and the other wanders around the outside of the topic without being able to commit to anything.

    It's human.

It's funny to see uTube videos where someone is asked why they support a political candidate and it's for the "free stuff" but when asked how it's going to be paid for they have no idea or say things that make little sense.

But it's sad to see this in Christian circles. We're talking about the most important thing in a person's life, how they can stop themselves from going to hell, and when there's a bit of a hole in the plan we look to fill that hole but ignore the fact that the solution doesn't quiet fit (or at least we can't clearly explain how it fits) but ignore that.

People's (particularly young people's) eternity depend on it. Shouldn't we get it right?

    Not necessary.

You seem to be one of many who believes in an age of accountability, so I asked everyone the simple question:

Under such a system what happens to someone who in the instant between the reaching of their AoA and dying:
    o- deliberately sins
o- sins but doesn't know it
o- deliberately does something they think is sinful be it isn't.

It's your doctrine not mine, but on my understanding the questions should be answerable and that should only take one post.

I dont really hold to that doctrine, as if someone's thirteenth birthday suddenly makes them accountable to sin. The one who chooses to sin from the heart is accountable for that, the rest is exceptions. Exceptions that I cannot make a doctrine out of, they amount to speculation.

Well as you don't hold to the doctrine I will thank you from the bottom of my heart for at least being willing to discuss it to the extent that you did, unlike those who (apparently) do hold to the doctrine.

Sometimes it scares me leaving my car with a mechanic, hoping that he knows more of the service manual than my preacher knows of the Bible.

One should present the gospel to children the same as to anyone else. Pretending that a child doesnt really need Jesus yet but could be introduced to God as their father is going too far. Even if the child hasnt sinned yet, which isnt that easy to determine.

Exactly... but since I never had any chillins, people like to tell me I have no right to have an opinion on anything child related... you know, "you don't understand cause you ain't go no kidZ"

Be prepared for breakdowns with a comprehensive service contract for your Subaru. Many vehicle repairs can cost thousands of dollars in unexpected expense, now may be the time to consider an extended service plan for your vehicle.
