Same with her sister Isabel... same with whatever...... I always told them to just say something like "that's nice, mom" agree or something other than the hard truth. But they seemed to think doing it their way was better just in case she became lucid and caught them in a lie!!! I thought it was more difficult.

When my husband had open heart surgery 7 years ago, we made a point of not telling his mom... it was something that she didn't need to know, but they told her anyways... I was ticked at them, but they said that he's HER son, and they thought she should know.
I think it would have drove me nuts to correct her, I actually had fun with some of the stuff, we all got some good laughs on the old sod of Ireland!

That's definitely how Rog and I would have done it.

AND it's how the people the SILs were consulting told them to do it and they chose the opposite. It was a very difficult place to visit, I can't imagine how it was to live there... SILs (3 of them lived with her) kept her at home till it became clear they couldn't keep her from making her way outside in -40 weather. That's when they finally came to the point of moving her into a secure extended care home.

Have they always been mean girls? I'm sorry, but that's just evil.

That's weird... in my Bible, God doesn't teach any of this stuff existing in His Kingdom - strange.

Nor does it say it's wrong to snort cocaine either...

None of that has anything to do with Christians needlessly suffering sickness and disease after Jesus paid for that so we could be free.

If we ignore God's Promises concerning healing and instead put faith in mankind's efforts to heal people... then we will not receive from the Lord since a double minded person cannot receive anything from the Lord according to the first chapter of James.

Well, Jesus Christ took that old timer's disease upon Himself so I would not have to have it.

So, praise the Name of the Lord Jesus, I'm happy to report that I'll never have old timer's disease
