    Mercury blood screen...

Catchy had encouraged me to have my heavy metals screened, especially for mercury, and I'm pleased to announce that I just talked to my dr's office and the heavy metal screen came back clean, especially, NO mercury!!!

That's absolutely amazing. I had a mouthful of mercury-amalgum fillings and had them all replaced with the white stuff about 15 yrs ago. The dentist at the time didn't use any special protocols... he just drilled them and refilled them...

So I must have done something right.

On a different note.... at the beginning of June, I had a virus that turned bacterial, so am on antibiotics AGAIN for a chest infection. uggghhh....

It seems likely to me that people's reactions to mercury vary enormously. This is all about tolerance levels, one person's tolerance level may be where someone else gets very sick.

I had them replaced because I felt my health was deteriorating. I'd always had quite a few fillings but it seemed like after each pregnancy (one in each 79,80 & 82), I need a bunch of work done because I developed several cavities. Over the years following that, it seemed like I felt continually worse. No energy, tired, muscle weakness, weight gain... some might attribute it to having 3 babies in 3.5 years and the activity level that requires and that may have been part of it, but when I finally made the decision to get it done, my kids were about 18,20 & 22 (give or take) and my weight had hit an all time high.

Anyhow. Just really glad for the test results. It's something I've always wondered about and now I know.
