Exactly...what parent does not understand children must be taught...so it is with discipleship. It's not enough to tell new believers what they should 'stop doing'. We must teach them how God changes us from the inside and how to partner with Holy Spirit to get that done..

My input on Homosexuality. All I can say is my experiences "thus far." I had a BBQ in our little rural town a few years ago, and invited all the tenants of the apartments I managed,
to come to my house. I played music and prayed, letting them know it was an invitation for fellowship. A woman showed up and about halfway through said "I'm a lesbian what do
you think of that?" I said 'that's between you and God." (what I felt led to say) Now, I was feeling the Lord wanted me to invite people to be introduced to the concept of Jesus as
their personal Lord and savior. This was not a church service, but an outreach. She pressed me about what I thought about it again. I said, "I think it's a sin." I also told her God
loves her and I will pray for her, and continued with my testimony of how I came to be saved. When I got saved, I was in sin. Obviously! I wasn't saved by someone coming and
telling me what a big ugly sinner I was. God convicted me, showed me I needed him. Showed me how nothing I was without him.

"dying to the flesh" happened in increments over a period of time, as God convicted me IN THE ORDER he wanted to! He led me to pray more, study more, get filled with the
spirit. he leads us (The good shepherd) to the green pastures and still waters, and restores our soul. Anti Christ Spirits need to be dealt with I went in the house and bound
them in the name of Jesus away from my house and this woman, for the time she was there. I did pray for her, I asked God to heal her every time I saw her on the street.

Now, another story is, one came to work where I worked one time, and became supervisor. She was pretty insistent on talking about it all the time, and this was a place
established mostly by Christians. I could not stand and watch this woman teach kids this "wrong thing" with a clear conscience, so I left the job, with tears, and prayed over
the entire building when I did leave. I got another job shortly after. I continued to pray. The woman eventually left, and moved on. that's my story! Thus far! I want to add
that I did try to convince the supervisor not to have her there. To no Avail. I really felt she got the job for the sole purpose of pushing her agenda on Homosexuality.

There are evil spirits involved in many cases not all, but many. Now, how many deviants could be in church we do NOT know about? Plenty! It happens all the time. Casting
someone out who is saying what they are is not a wise idea. We don't let someone in leadership, who is going to teach others to be homosexual, a drunkard, a fornicator, and
the like (obviously) but the leaven Jesus was talking about was unbelief, not believing in Him and his Power to change us! That's why he told the disciples "beware" of the yeast
of the Pharisees. (self righteous, prideful, religious, and so on) not the yeast of the Homosexuals. We need to believe in the Power Of God's grace that saved us to save others.
Otherwise we do not really believe at all.
When we stand before Jesus, he is not going to ask what everyone else told you to do....
He is going to ask "what did I tell you to do?" Press on!

Actually, the word of God tells us not to even sit with such a person who claims to be a brother or sister in Christ.

The Apostle Paul instructed the guy that was doin the wild thang with his father's wife (hopefully it was at least his step mom, sheesh)... to be put out of the church and the reason is first: so his unrepentant sinful lifestyle does not infect others in the Body, and second: so they guy will understand why he is being rejected and repent, forsake his sin, so he can come back into the fold and be restored.

Shall we sin so that grace shall abound? God forbid (Romans 6:1-2)

Sure God loves everyone and desires them to walk with Him... but He cannot and does not "accept" everyone as there is no darkness in light. The righteousness of the law is fulfilled in those that walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4)

So, the turning one over to satan for the destruction of their flesh is allowing them to go their own way, reaping corruption, experiencing the results of their sin with the desire they will recover themselves from the snare of the fowler and come back to a right relationship with the Lord so they can once again be a part of the Body of Christ.
