Former star running back Herschel Walker says he's been nixed from speaking engagements because he supports Donald Trump.

Walker told TMZ that he was scrubbed from a recent event in California because organizers were worried anti-Trump protesters would show up.

He said that's happened multiple times in three states since he went public with his support for the presumptive GOP nominee.

In March, Walker defended Trump against accusations of racism.

"Just because you build a wall doesn't mean you're a racist," he said, maintaining he will not stop speaking out in favor of Trump.

Walker, who played on a USFL team owned by Trump in the 1980s, came out last summer in support of the billionaire.

"There's not a doubt in my mind right now he is my frontrunner," Walker told USA TODAY. "I'm not going to say anything negative about him because it's not true."

The 1982 Heisman Trophy winner made an appearance on the second season of Trump's NBC reality show Celebrity Apprentice.
