Thanks Nikos and Romans, its nice to know that some of our members still cook.
Despite a heat wave of 90 degree temps the last couple of days I had a craving for homemade chicken noodle soup...and on a side note I really like and usually have the fine noodles with it.

Seeing the Thorn in the flesh thread shift to the topic of food I opted to not hijack it any further and post this here.
I recall years ago Danny and I started juicing raw vegies and carrots and apples were the 'base'. After juicing a few weeks we realized we had lost ALL cravings for sugary treats...
Our brain had detoxed and now was telling us it was satisfied....despite the fact that carrots and apples convert to glucose.
Later we learned that our cells feed first on glucose and then will shift to healthy fat when the glucose runs out and this is a primary way to fight cancer and the conversion of glucose to fat...it was a real eye opener when I read in my grand daughter's biology book that fat is a far more healthy food source for cells than the glucose from carbs, even complex ones as in fruits and vegs...it stated we need the complex carbs but FAR less than we think...by feeding primarily with healthy fat our cells energy is more sustainable...
Interesting story...my husband who was an active alcoholic for years has the same problem with food...more and bigger is always better...so no matter how (dietary) we ate he gained weight...His problem was not quality but quantity...so now I have him on a real diet that forced portion size and he is feeling so much better..only been doing this for 2 weeks..
Now when he comes home from work he hunts things to do...
I make 6 days of breakfasts in a jar...it is essentially a 2 egg omelet.
I make him 6 4oz jars of whole milk plain yogurt with raw honey and a few berries for his mid morning snack
I make 6 days of pt salads in a jar...2 per day lunch and dinner
He eats 2 Adkins meals at lunch and dinner
I made a batch of gluten free, flour free peanut butter cookies for the afternoon.
He said he has not been hungry, he is getting a lot of salads but also a tasty SMALL entrée...
As I was praying one MOnday morning and talking to the Lord about fasting and how it's so hard when I need to prepare healthy meals for him and that if it were not for him how I eat would be totally different when suddenly like a movie screen unveiling this plan I just knew this was the answer and that God had given me the wisdom...
I texted him and said, 'Your starting a new meal plan tonight'. He texted back a stream of little emoji's...first one crying...second one mad...third one complacent an the forth was a thumbs up....I knew we were good to go..
I eat a breakfast jar
Sometimes an Adkins shake at lunch or a salad a yogurt in the afternoon and a salad at night with some ham chunks.
In a month or two I will probably start making my own 'meal entrees' in portioned sizes to match the premade ones but for now he needs to have a brain shift that less is better..

Yes I put on my scuba gear and dove to a 100' , fought off a great white, maneuvered around deadly sea snakes and blue ring octopus, nearly trod on a stone fish and finally got those pesky mussels

Yesterday's "Sunday Dinner" was BBQ Ribs (done in the crockpot), sautéed Yellow Squash, Mashed Potatoes and fresh Green Beans - Gingerbread Bundt Cake for dessert.

What do you do? Basically just cut them up enough to fit in the crockpot and cover with BBQ sauce and cook?

That’s how I do it. A half slab usually fits. I put 2 half slabs in the slow cooker and cover them with my homemade sauce.
