Most little old ladies start behaving a little better when they hit the big 9-0.

You cant just do things willy nilly under the guise of "Love". You will be out of business very quickly
I've heard that from every authoritarian leader I've encountered. I've seen many of them and many authoritarian and bad rule ridden churches go out of business.

Scripture doesn't mandate a tithe to the church for membership. There are other conditions. I also didn't throw out order.

I'm not willy nilly nor pretending a "guise" of love. I believe in genuine love between God's people.

In the end, those who are ruled by love will be in business; those who don't, will be out of business.

Churches who follow the Bible and allow it to dictate how the church functions will please the Lord. That's most important.

That is a slight misrepresentation there and the elderly ladies I pastor would bop you in the nose for putting me on that list. (I told you that they are not all nice)

I am NOT for kicking out littlke old ladies. I am for getting all of the facts and making a rational response. I am not for having my heartstrings pulled by words such as "92 year old lady" and "bad pastor." I would like facts before casting judgment on eaither.

I stated early n that I actually don't believe 'taking membership' is Biblical to begin with.

Second point has been that we don't know all the facts in this situation and that it's a bad idea to pass judgment without all those facts..

Now...ya'll continue with you choosing of sides social media courtroom style...
    Agree.

For all you know it may have been a clerical error where the 92 year old woman got included in a list of none active members ..If it happens to be a big church its very possible where she wasnt neccessarily singled out. The article does say she wasnt the only one who received the letter.

Like I told Colonel I probably have very little in common doctrinallY with Black Baptist Churches but one thing I can say about Black Baptist Churches even more than WOF they do believe in community and visiting the sick and the shut in and fellowshipping with one another outside church. That's why I am not in such a rush to believe everything I read in the press ..

They very well may be wrong in their actions but simple point is we don't have all the facts and the bible warns us against answering matter's before fully hearing them

So instead of threatening people with hell to pay why not simply pray for all involved ?
    Agree.

Then let's hear it. Let's hear the pastor's side. I'm ALL ears.
If this wasn't true and I was the pastor, I would be doing EVERYTHING to get my point across

    The silence is deafening

Never said it did .. Quit arguing against strawmen

Well Jesus was Loving enough to make the people sit down in groups of 50's and 100's when feeding 5000 because people who have love but no order dont do very well

Mark 6 39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties.
He had them sit in Order so they wouldn't trample over each other in getting food ...

Again My friend God is a God of order and no amount of tyrants you may have encountered change that fact!!!

    PS:
I grew up in a culture where people have a strong sense of Love but little sense of order hence the reason why that culture remains poor
