It doesn't say anything about "non-tithing widows".

Jesus received no tithes. He didn't gain from the temple tax. But the things that were necessary were paid for. Our fellowship with Christ, or His with us, does pay all the bills.

Let the Word judge the churches. It is quite clear on what constitutes membership in the body. It is also quite clear we cannot say to a brother or sister we have no need of them.
It says nowhere that Jesus did not receive tithes so we should assume that he did.

The non-tithing widows would all have been slayed by God (Malachi, Creflo Dollar) so that naturally applies only to tithing widows.

    Okay, I'll stop.

James 1:27 Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
That there is the gold standard.

I've always wondered why the give to get crowd isn't on TV soliciting for receivers.

Are you broke, hungry, have financial needs? Call now so I can bless you with some cash!

Now that right there would probably create a genuine praise-a-thon in the heavenlies.

And of course, if the TV preacher is giving he'll get the hundred-fold back, in good measure, pressed down!

Then perhaps she should have Joined a Church where there are no "man made bills" :)

On the other hand Jesus did have a huge donor base

Luke 8 1Soon afterward Jesus began a tour of the nearby towns and villages, preaching and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom of God. He took his twelve disciples with him, 2along with some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases. Among them were Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons; 3Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing from their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.
Yep even Jesus had financial needs :)

    Oh well ... :)

I am sure the Widow who sowed her last mite would have been placed on the "You dont need to support the church because you are poor" list by most here but Jesus didn't seem to think so .. :)
