United Methodist Church Becomes Pro-Life after 46 Years

After 46 years in support of abortion, the United Methodist Church (UMC) has decided to reverse their decision and become pro-life.

According to PrivateHealthcareReports.com, the UMC voted 425-268 to reverse their pro-choice stance and to withdraw from the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC), which is a lobby group that advocates for abortion rights.

Until the recent reversal, the UMC had been an outspoken pro-choice advocate, supporting on-demand abortion, and even partial birth abortion.

As a founding member of the RCRC, the UMC was also an early supporter of Roe v. Wade. However, at the recent General Conference, the UMC leaders not only reversed their pro-choice stance, but officially withdrew support for Roe v. Wade.

Christian leaders applauded the UMC's decision.

The UMC is "making substantive progress toward a biblically-founded social witness," stated Joseph Rossell of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission.

Planned Parenthood is losing a substantial partner in the UMC. Two years ago, Methodist Healthcare Ministries donated nearly half a million dollars to Planned Parenthood.

Well praise God! They never should've went pro-abortion but at least they finally took the right stance...kinda wonder what made them finally change their minds.
